Prior to starting the yoga practice, students reflect on their experience with yoga and become more aware of the skills, experiences, and thoughts with which they are beginning the practice. During the yoga lesson, students are also encouraged to become more aware of their body and mind by recognizing physical sensations and automatic thoughts. They are asked to tailor different yoga postures to meet their needs and respect any physical or mental limitations. (Achieved in SET and GO activity)

B2.1. Active Living, Physical Fitness: Daily physical fitness (DPA): Participate in moderate to vigorous physical activity, with appropriate warm-up and cool-down activities, to the best of their ability for a minimum of twenty minutes each day.
This yoga lesson guides students through a moderate, 20-minute yoga (physical activity) lesson with appropriate warm-up and cool-down activities. Yoga is an accessible and diverse activity that students can use anywhere, with anyone, and at any time. By practicing yoga in class, students gain the confidence and skills needed to practice yoga independently and on a regular basis. (Achieved in GO activity)

C1.1 Movement Competence: Skills, Concepts, and Strategies, Movement Skills and Concepts: Perform smooth transfers of weight in relation to others and equipment in a variety of situations involving static and dynamic balance.
During this lesson, students transition between a wide range of postures that encourage them to build strength and flexibility. This yoga lesson also helps students become more aware of their bodies and enhances their balance. (Achieved in GO activity)
