Students learn the seven elements necessary for building trust in themselves and in their relationships. Establishing this sense of trust is essential for developing healthy, strong, and supportive connections that increase students' sense of belonging and are the foundation of inclusive, diverse, and safe spaces. Trust is essential for building a safe school community and needs to be established for students to feel comfortable engaging with new materials and ideas. By participating in this activity, students understand how to support the development of trust in all of their relationships. As identified by the BRAVING acronym, learning about trust also teaches students about the importance of boundaries, reliability, accountability, integrity, and open-mindedness, which are strongly emphasized in Character Development.
